Yin For the Caregiver

Name: Yin For the Caregiver
Date: May 24, 2019
Time: 4:15 PM - 5:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
A six week series for caregivers.

We'll begin by cultivating our own personal Yin practice. Why Yin? Yin Yoga is a deep, reflective movement and meditation practice that is grounded in the art of allowing. When we practice allowing positivity, gratitude and abundance into our lives, we are able to fill ourselves up.

But it's not always easy to receive these gifts, especially if we tend towards giving. Each week as you step on your mat, you'll also practice the art of receiving. By learning to receive fully and graciously, you can begin to experience abundance.
As we work to fill our own cups, we find we are able to give freely from a place of heart-filled generosity.

Over the course of the series, we will explore how a Yin practice can support those who support others. This series is appropriate for any caregivers (teachers, helpers, medical staff, professional and personal caregivers) as well as those with little or no yoga experience.

Please bring yourself in comfortable clothing. We'll provide the rest.

Week 1 - Breathe-focused practice
Week 2 - Heart focused
Week  3- Hip focused
Week 4 - Spine focused practice
Week 5 - Meditation and journal practice
Week 6 - Putting it all together

Only when Valerie took her first yin class did she truly arrive at being present in her body. Since that moment, she has passionately shared her deep love of Yin through not only her teaching but through the journey of her own practice. Bringing this nurturing practice in an accessible way to you, with over 3000 teaching hours, Valerie invites you to join her for this transformational series.
