The Better Path Foundation Inc

The Better Path Foundation, Inc., a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation, 501(c)(3), serves the underserved and marginalized people in the Greater Madison, Wisconsin area; who are in recovery from Substance Use Disorder (SUD), by providing a live-in recovery program supporting adult-aged men, women, veterans, non-veterans, LGTBIQ+, dual diagnosis, justice-involved, all races, all religions, and all levels of education to further their recovery goals and objectives of attaining long-term abstinence.

The Better Path recovery program has obtained WASH and NARR certification, the first sober living organization in Dane County, WI with sober living homes, to achieve this honor. WASH is the Wisconsin Association of Sober Housing and NARR is the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, the gold standard in the industry; demonstrating that we maintain proper standards for safety and support.

We believe that those who made the decision to overcome Substance Use Disorder and seek treatment for it deserve the opportunity to put their lives together, and become productive and valuable members of society. This starts with having a safe place to lay their heads down at night after they complete treatment; a place where they can call, “Home.” The Better Path provides just that…a live-in sober living recovery program where someone can thrive and obtain the necessary guidance to learn the skills needed to sustain their long-term recovery goals and objectives. All of which is crucial for individuals to regain hope, and have the opportunity to flourish in life without the use of substances.
